An astrophysicist in Kazakhstan

Having been surrounded by scientists and engineers for many years now, I am used to live in my small science bubble. I always find it hard to understand why “people outside of my bubble” do not consider science fascinating or why it is sometimes perceived as a waste of money, especially when talking about pure science.

A friend of mine (that I met while studying astrophysics) is participating to the ҒЫЛЫМ FACES (GYLYM FACES) project to promote scientists and their work in her home country, Kazakhstan. I found her interview very interesting and I wish to share it with you.
